The Magical Forest

We took the girls to visit the "Magical Forest" (i.e. Mariposa Grove in Yosemite to see the "Big Trees" (Giant Sequoias)) for the first time on July 17th.

Kindergarten Graduation

Dance Recital 2009/2010

Okay, so I'll go back a bit and share some of the highlights of our 2010 Summer...

We finished off an exciting season of dance with a Dream Duffel full of costumes.  Ariana performed in 6 different routines (jazz, ballet, 2 tap routines, Daddy/Daughter and the Finale) and Amali had her first ever recital performance, plus she thoroughly enjoyed her first Daddy/Daughter Dance.

Starting Anew!

Hello to my dear family and friends!

So, as you can see from the previous (and ONLY) blog post, "Ariana Turns 4!", clearly I am behind on my blog. ... i.e. 2 years behind!!!  Ariana turned 6, last week! 

Hence, the title "Starting Anew!"

I am making a resolution to myself - from here on out, this is going to be my primary place for keeping up on the "goings-on" of my family (Chris, Ariana, Sarah, Amali - C.A.S.A. Hart).

Clearly, it will be impossible for me to make up for all of the lost time ... yes, I do feel guilt over the fact that my girls are 6 & 4, and I am SOOO far behind! ... however, I can't do anything about what hasn't been done, but I can focus on the present and plan for the future.

So, here's to happy blogging and pix!

Ariana Turns 4!

Ariana celebrated her 4th birthday yesterday, 9/10. She's such a big girl now. She was so cute & sweet as she opened her gifts last night. The first gift she opened was a pair of chapsticks, and the first thing she did was hand one over to Amali and say, "here you go Amali, this one is yours." It truly melted my heart. She is eagerly awaiting her big Cal Bears Football Birthday Party this Sunday!
